Session I: "The Envelope, Please"
Step One in any sustainable building project is to reduce overall energy demand by designing and constructing an energy-efficient building envelope. In this session, we'll explore the latest concepts in commercial building design and construction that approach or achieve net-zero status.
10:45am - 11:45am
Session II: "Pulling Energy Out of Thin Air"
In this session, we'll explore the world of air source heat pumps for commercial, institutional and multi-residential building projects. We'll look at the economics of ASHPs, and dispel the notion that they don't work in cold climates!
12:15pm - 1:00pm
1:15pm - 2:15pm
Session III: "Here Comes the Sun"
Incorporating solar energy into your next building project is pretty much a no-brainer because of decreasing capital costs and state incentives. Learn why every new commercial, industrial, institutional or educational building should incorporate solar into its energy plan.
2:30pm - 3:30pm
Session IV: "Using Earth's Constant Temperature to Save Money"
Ground source heat pumps use the constant temperature of the earth to help heat buildings in the winter and cool them in summer. Large-scale systems for large structures or entire communities can be an efficient and cost-effective way to cut energy costs.
8:30am - 5pm
Drawing for Macbook Air
3:45pm - 4:45pm
Session V: "Lets Talk About the Money"
Financial experts in government and private industry are both working hard to develop creative ways to help you integrate sustainable energy into your building project. Third-party ownership, low costs loans, and even outright grants are all available. Come learn which one is right for you.
